The Four Seasons Curling Club in Blaine, Minnesota has many members who are playing in the Olympic Trials in Fargo.
Jessica Schultz, Stephanie Sambor, Cassie Potter, Allison Pottinger, Tabitha Peterson, Rich Ruohonen, Colin Hufman, Courtney George, and Amanda Mclean all curl out of the club.
The teams are approaching the semi-finals, and the finals will take place this weekend, Friday November 16 through Sunday Nov. 17. The event is held in Scheels Arena in Fargo, North Dakota.
The top two teams after a double round-robin will play a best-of-three. The women’s winner will earn a berth to the Olympics, and the men’s winner will play down in Germany, in an Olympic Challenge Round, to earn a spot to the Olympics.
The best-of-three finals will be aired by NBC Sports Network and Universal Sports this weekend.
Game one of the finals for both the men and women will be aired at 2:30 PM on Friday, Nov. 15. Game 2 for the men will be broadcast Saturday Nov. 16 at 2:30 PM, and at 7:00 PM for the women. Should the playoffs go to game three, they will be aired Sunday, Nov. 17 at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM for the men and women respectively.
The Four Seasons Curling Club is hosting an Olympic Trials Viewing Party for the Saturday, Nov. 16 games. Open to the public and free of charge, fans can congregate and watch the finals at 2:30 PM and 7:00 PM in the Curler’s Lounge within the attached restaurant, Gabe’s Rinkside Bar and Grill.
