The April 24th meeting of the Blaine Business Council will spotlight possible upcoming logistical gridlock within the City, focusing on Hwy 65, and how we may be able to affect a positive solution starting today.
Blaine is forecasting a 30% population explosion over the next two decades. The city will have over 85,000 residents (according to Met Council predictions released 2/19/14), up from 60,000, within the next twenty-five years, making Blaine Anoka County’s most populated city. How will our roads handle the ever-growing congestion and what can we do now to start planning for it?
The City, County and State will present an overview of current and future projects within Blaine and point out choke points that are in need of work, yet not even on the regional planning calendar due to funding challenges.
We all know about traffic congestion within the City and our workforce meets these same issues every day. Please plan to attend our April 24th meeting to learn about these issues and how to bring about solutions.
